Writers' Circle (sadly no longer in existence). I was for a time on the Committee of the annual Grayshott Literary Festival (also sadly no longer in existence). I have spent many years treading the boards with my local Drama group, performing plays and pantomime. I have produced a full length play and two of my own one-act plays. I have sat on various committees and was Auditions Secretary for Opera Omnibus (now renamed Opera South). I am a trained Soprano and have sung solo roles with two Opera and Musical Societies. I also enjoy painting in water-colours and painted the picture on the cover of my first book, A PASSING STORM. PAPER DREAMS is my second novel. For me writing is a passion and I love putting down the thoughts of my characters on to paper.
THE AUTHOR
I live amongst the beautiful south-west Surrey Hills in England, which have given me the inspiration to put pen to paper, or more correctly, fingers to keyboard! I am married with three grown up married children: I wrote a few stories for them and now find myself writing for my grandchildren. I am an avid reader ranging across the various genres and often panic if I can't immediately find a book to read. I attended a Creative Writing Course several years ago, where I gained enough confidence to tackle something more challenging than the exercises and articles required by the course. I went on to write short stories, (two of which have been short-listed in competitions), poetry and three one-act plays. One short-story was broadcast by a local radio station. I later became a member of The Haslemere
